What does your diet look like?? Do you follow one of the popular diets out there? To name a few I’ve been on:

The Abs Diet

Paleo Diet

Low Carb/High Protein/Low fat/Low sugar

Body For life (myoplex anyone?)

The Drop Ten Diet

Weight Watchers

All of these were diets, never a life style change!

Then came P90x! My first taste at Beachbody and at home workouts. I was skeptical at first, I don’t even know if Shakeology was invented back then. I remember buying the tapes and letting them sit in my basement for a while. When I met my husband he convinced me to do them. I loved it! Why did I let them collect dust for so long? I also cracked open the diet program and took a stab a it. I’d love to say that ever since then I never looked back, but I fell off the wagon just like everyone else. My highest weight was 188 and I can honestly say I never went back there again. (unless you count when I was 9 months pregnant)

Shakeology, fruits, veggies and lean meats are my diet now. (and coffee and wine) I don’t give up everything I love for the sake of a size 2, I find the balance in eating well during the week and having a few cheat meals during the weekend. a sample of my daily diet is:

My Home Diet:

Breakfast 8-9 am: Shake with PB2 and Cinnamon with coffee and powder creamer  (275 cal)

“Lunch” 12pm- 2 eggs, 2 pieces Eziekel Bread, Saute’d Spinach 3 cups (336 calories)

“Lunch” 3-4pm- Large Salad: (320 calories)

5 cups spring mix greens

½ cup chopped zucchini

½ cup chopped tomatoes

½ cup chopped sweet peppers

Cilantro chopped

½ of an Avocado

¼-1/2 cup Creamy Garlic Dressing

Dinner- 730ish-  2-3 pieces of Tilapia grilled on the forman, 1 cup quinoa, 2 tbs potbelly Peppers  (472 calories if fish is 8 ounces) Sometimes I’ll cut the quinoa to ½ cup to have  the extra piece of fish.

=1400 calories total

This is my general plan that I try to follow: It breaks down like this for my ratio:

41% carbs

30% fat

29% Protein

I use My fitness Pal ap to know my stats. It says since I weigh 142 right now if I follow this plan I will weigh 134.5 in 5 weeks and that is with NO workouts. If I add my 30 minute workouts that I normally do it projects me to weigh 131.9

To me that’s a lot of food to be projected to lose 10 lbs in the next 5 weeksJ
